How can you parcially vanish a tattoo?

Saturday, June 26th, 2010

My sister regrets a tattoo she has on her back, and since we live in Honduras, laser surgeries to remove tattoos are not available yet. I just wanted to know how to parcially vanish, or make it lighter. Thank you.

don’t know if it works, but I read on a blog that to wrap gauze around a flat stick like a tongue depressor and dip in lemon juice then sea salt and rub on tattoo till red not bleeding. It said it will take a couple of times of doing this. let heal between times.

Can you tattoo over an old tatt so that it looks like a large birthmark or port-wine birthmark?

Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010

My step-mother has a very old faded blueish tattoo and can’t afford laser surgery and does not want a cover-up tattoo. She is willing to make it look like some kind of port wine birthmark or something, but I’m not sure this would cover it up? (She’s very tan BTW)
Any tattoo artists ever do anything like this before?

of course it’s possible

How bad does laser removal surgery hurt in regards to tattoos?

Sunday, June 20th, 2010

It hurts more compared to getting the tattoo because there are several treatments involved usually about 5-8. Plus they have to treat at higher settings for the laser to pick up the continuously fading ink in the tattoo. There are some numbing creams that can help but the best I have had is for them to inject the area with lidocaine before the treatment you can’t feel a thing and then it wears off after about an hour, a percocept can also help. The first 24hours are the worst its all easy after that.

Can laser surgery fix your tattoo (if it messes up) and make the stretch marks go away after pregnancy?

Thursday, June 17th, 2010

that is if you get stretch marks and it at all messes up your stomach tattoo, can laser surgery remove all the stretch marks and everything will look like it did before again? Also how much does that usually cost to get removed?

please ONLY answer IF you HAD laser surgery to get rid of stretch marks and if you have a full stomach piece and its AFTER your pregnancy now. Otherwise you will be ignored, so dont bother writing.
If you have a stomach piece, please send pics after your pregnancy. Thank you.

my sister in law had a stomach tattoo and it did not survive her pregnancy unchanged. she had to have the tattoo removed via laser because it looked terrible and according to her doctor the only way to fix it was full removal. i do not have pics to show but i just wanted to share that because i don’t see anyone meeting all of your criteria for answering (it’s pretty darn specific). i’m sorry but i don’t see anyway you could remove stretch marks via laser and save the full tattoo. think about it lasering basically burns the skin off and replaces it with new skin. if your tattoo is in the same area, it’s bound to be affected. i would perhaps consult a tattoo artist to see if they could fix it after the removal.

good luck :-)

What kind of license needed to do laser skin care?

Monday, June 14th, 2010

I want to know what kind of license needed to do laser skin care( eye brow tatoo removal, age spot etc.) With an estheician license, will it be enough? Thanks

It depends where you live and what the local or state requirements are. In some states, you only need to work under a doctor’s supervision and don’t need an esthetic license, which I find a bit scary. I would never want to go to anyone who does not have appropriate education. Esthetic license should get you in anywhere. There are advances esthetic courses you can take as well since many physicians want people who are experienced on the machines. Each machine is different though, and some states require direct education from the machine’s manufacturer before allowing estheticians to use it.

Good luck.

Laser Tattoo removal and fading creams?

Sunday, June 6th, 2010

I’ve had roughly 5 laser treatments for my tattoo. It is fading, but I’m curious as to whether putting a skin lightening cream in conjunction with my treatments will help fade it faster? This would be of course just to spare myself added surgery (expenses) as well as pain (the tattoo is on my back and the surgery feels worse every time).

Just wondering if anyone has done this/recommends this?
If not, is there anything else I can do to move it along?

The creams and liquids don’t work and
may include something that will cause
infection in the wound.
The laser treatment will leave you with
a scar and there are some colors that
will still be there…green is one.

Tattoo removal question?

Tuesday, June 1st, 2010

I had a laser treament done to remove a tatoo. It formed a scab that fell off. Most of the ink is faded but the heavy parts of where the scab is still pink. And this is about 2 months since getting the treatment. At first I thought it was just raw and would heal but why hasnt it yet. My question is will this skin always be pink in these spots.

no, it won’t be always pink, it will fade away in days/weeks so don’t worry about it, this is supposed to happen.
