She began to talk about making a sugar based wax for hair removal. She said to brown the sugar than add lemon juice, but that is all I understood. What i need to know is how much and how long to cook it.If you have any homemade hair removal wax recipes please give them to me.

Hair Removal
Materials:
2 cups sugar
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup water
Instructions:
Mix all together, boil until it reaches 250 degrees F. Pour into a jar. When ready to use, microwave for about 10 to 20 seconds to soften. Put it on warm, put your strip of cotton on, rub in the direction of the hair growth and yank it off (opposite of hair growth). Try not to get it on too thick (I use a Popsicle stick for an applicator). A tip for keeping the sugar at the right temperature is to use one of those small beverage warmers (like single hot plates for one cup). Just make sure the container that you put the sugar in wouldn’t melt when left sitting on it. A glass measuring cup works great.

How to I talk to my mum about hair removal? http://www.besttattooremovalmethods.com/blog/hair-removal/how-to-i-talk-to-my-mum-about-hair-removal http://www.besttattooremovalmethods.com/blog/hair-removal/how-to-i-talk-to-my-mum-about-hair-removal#comments Thu, 22 Sep 2011 02:12:56 +0000 admin http://www.besttattooremovalmethods.com/blog/hair-removal/how-to-i-talk-to-my-mum-about-hair-removal I really am desperate to remove the hair on my legs, but I don’t know how to approach my mum about it. I have researched different hair removal methods, and for me, the Veet hair removal cream looks the best. However, how do I ask my mum about doing this? There always seems to be someone around and when I am just alone with my mum, I get to nervous to ask! Also, do all hair removal creams smell? Are there any that don’t? Thanks :) xxx.

Ok, so I would consider your age before taking up this convo with your mother.
Like say, if you’re 9 or 10 or something shaving isn’t really for your age. It’s just not that important :)
But if you’re upwards of 13, give it a go.

-approach her at a time when she is in a good mood.
-start off gently, like "Mum, can I ask you something?"
-don’t get mad if she doesn’t respond positively.
-talk to her about how you feel about removing hair from your legs (e.g. it would make you feel better about yourself)
-tell her you would really like to start because you think you are responsible and old enough.
-if she starts to see reason, discuss what method is best. (e.g. razor, wax, cream etc)

Just be mature and repsonsible. If all else fails, try again another day. Ask her why she has said ‘no’ and work towards achieving that. If your friends shave/wax/use creams, try it out at their house one night to see if hair removal is for you. It isn’t an important thing for some women.

Good luck :)

How much will it cost 2 remove all my body hair by laser hair removal? http://www.besttattooremovalmethods.com/blog/hair-removal/how-much-will-it-cost-2-remove-all-my-body-hair-by-laser-hair-removal http://www.besttattooremovalmethods.com/blog/hair-removal/how-much-will-it-cost-2-remove-all-my-body-hair-by-laser-hair-removal#comments Wed, 14 Sep 2011 01:36:27 +0000 admin http://www.besttattooremovalmethods.com/blog/hair-removal/how-much-will-it-cost-2-remove-all-my-body-hair-by-laser-hair-removal I am currently a fifteen year old gay boy thinking ahead for the future. I have heard that you must be 18 to get laser hair removal is this true? Secondly I am planning sometime in my life to have all my body hair removed by laser hair removal (I fully realize it takes 6-8 sessions). My question is how much will it cost, overall (the whole body & all the sessions) to completely remove ALL of my body hair except facial hair?

your 15 you its great you have embraced yourself in the fact that you are gay but you got plenty of time..but you can always use a hair growth inhibitor to get you started so you just dont grown as much as you age. Remsprings hair-nix is a good product i suggest you use that one.

prices between 9.99 and 39.99

There are none. If you want permanent you need to see a dermatologist, plastic surgeons all have the technology and then there’s the electrologist–painful and not always permanent.

I don’t know any other details about it though.

What is the best thing for permanent hair removal? The best method I have found so far to remove hair is waxing.

for PERMANENT hair removal laser treatment is all that is permanent babe.

What to do before laser hair removal appointment? http://www.besttattooremovalmethods.com/blog/hair-removal/what-to-do-before-laser-hair-removal-appointment http://www.besttattooremovalmethods.com/blog/hair-removal/what-to-do-before-laser-hair-removal-appointment#comments Fri, 26 Aug 2011 15:57:55 +0000 admin http://www.besttattooremovalmethods.com/blog/hair-removal/what-to-do-before-laser-hair-removal-appointment Ok, I have an appointment Friday for some laser hair removal. Am I supposed to shave my legs like normal, or am I supposed to leave some stubble so the laser has something to zap at. I don’t want to show up unprepared either way. Thanks for the help!

Hi!

Before getting treated, you should shave the area 1-3 days before your appointment. Do not use any other methods of removing hair at least 4-6 weeks prior. Laser hair removal works by targeting hair shafts and destroying them. The laser needs a root to target and destroy. Shaving cuts excess hair allowing the laser to concentrate its energy on the root only, not wasting any energy on hair above the skin’s surface; waxing or other methods of hair removal pull the hair and root out, leaving nothing for the laser to target.

For areas such as the bikini area for women and the neckline for men, if you have hard to see hair, it is best to shave closer to 3 days before your treatment so that some stubble grows back and the specialist can follow your hairline.

Avoid the sun, as the paler your skin, the more effective the laser treatment, as the laser is designed to target the melanin in your hair. An increase in melanin in your skin as a result of sun exposure will reduce the effectiveness of the laser. You should also avoid using self-tanning creams and sprays.

Do not apply any makeup, lotions or creams immediately prior to your appointment.

The same guidelines apply between treatments. Be sure to ask your specialist what to expect and if there are any other special preparations he or she would like you to take. An open dialogue with your specialist is key to a good experience and great results.

How well do hair removal creams work and how long do they last.? http://www.besttattooremovalmethods.com/blog/hair-removal/how-well-do-hair-removal-creams-work-and-how-long-do-they-last http://www.besttattooremovalmethods.com/blog/hair-removal/how-well-do-hair-removal-creams-work-and-how-long-do-they-last#comments Wed, 24 Aug 2011 09:44:01 +0000 admin http://www.besttattooremovalmethods.com/blog/hair-removal/how-well-do-hair-removal-creams-work-and-how-long-do-they-last I am sick of having to shave every other day so I thought I would go with a removal cream. How well do they work also do you have let the hair grow out before the first use the way you do with waxing. I hear that with waxing you have to let the hair grow out for 2 weeks with the heat wave my area is having I could never stay covered up for 2 week. It’s not like with the creams I hope.

Longer than shaving. Nearly one week. I’m using hairremoval cream of Nad’s. www.nads.com.au

Does hair removal cream make your hair grow back even thicker? http://www.besttattooremovalmethods.com/blog/hair-removal/does-hair-removal-cream-make-your-hair-grow-back-even-thicker http://www.besttattooremovalmethods.com/blog/hair-removal/does-hair-removal-cream-make-your-hair-grow-back-even-thicker#comments Mon, 22 Aug 2011 07:56:51 +0000 admin http://www.besttattooremovalmethods.com/blog/hair-removal/does-hair-removal-cream-make-your-hair-grow-back-even-thicker For those who have use those hair removal cream, does it make your hair grow back even thicker?
Well I know that shaving makes your hair grow back thicker, and faster.

But what about hair removal cream? does it grow back just the same as it was before? or does it grow back thicker? or thinner?

After years of nightmare hair removal options, I finally decided to look into permanent hair removal options. My research led me to a consultation at Manhattan’s salon.

I found a website http://www.hairlaserremoval.co.uk
There are many useful information to me. Thanks to them.

At my consultation I wasn’t expecting to go under the laser. In fact, I wasn’t sure what to expect. My technician, Michelle, was laid-back, confident and attentive. When I asked what the results would look like, she lifted her arm and showed me the most perfect hairless armpit I’d ever seen. Knowing I was
writing an article, she even showed me her bikini line. I was blown away with the possibility of never having to shave again.

Step 1: Paper panties
Technician leaves you with paper panties. I was given the paper panties then Michelle left. She came back in and I laid on the table in basically a splayed position (a bit uncomfortable, but then Michelle was so laid back and had showed me HER bikini line so what did I care?).

Step 2: Ice cold
Ice cold jelly-like goo is squeezed onto all the soon-to-be-lasered spots. The goo apparently protects skin and offers some sort of barrier from the heated light.

Step 3: The laser wand comes out
I had no idea what this looked like until I saw it. Lasers vary, but the one Michelle used on me reminded me of the part of your printer that you attach to your computer. The part that is closest to your skin is about 4 inches long and an inch wide (although they vary). Michelle gave me a pair of sunglasses.

Step 4: The procedure begins
Basically Michelle worked along my bikini line. I had asked about the pain and she said it would feel like a rubber band snapping the skin. She was right. The pain wasn’t unbearable at all, nothing like the searing pain of waxing. The laser pulses with light and you feel a ’snap.’ She moves along with each ‘zap.’

Step 5: Clean up
Once the lasering was over, Michelle scooped up the goo, I got dressed and that was it. No need for creams or lotions or potions. Michelle told me the hair would fall out within 2 weeks.
On my way out the door the woman at the reception desk told me I was going to love the results. I left happy and confident she was right. Then the waiting began.

Two weeks later, the hair was gone and a new hair cycle had just barely begun to grow in. Hair grows in cycles so you should get about 6 treatments to ensure you kill all the hair follicles. A month after my first treatment I went in for my second. Find out what happened in my 3rd installment of Diary of a Laser Hair Removal Guinea Pig.

How effective are home laser hair removal machines? http://www.besttattooremovalmethods.com/blog/hair-removal/how-effective-are-home-laser-hair-removal-machines http://www.besttattooremovalmethods.com/blog/hair-removal/how-effective-are-home-laser-hair-removal-machines#comments Sat, 20 Aug 2011 05:44:52 +0000 admin http://www.besttattooremovalmethods.com/blog/hair-removal/how-effective-are-home-laser-hair-removal-machines Was look at the Rio hair removal machines, has anyone used it and what results did you get?

I’m not really familiar with the rio but I bought a TRIA about half a year ago
It was $1,000
I used it twice on my bikini area and saw about 10% of the hair fall out

The "at home lasers" like the tria and rio have to be weak enough so you can’t hurt yourself, they are a class 1
The lasers at the clinic are a class 4
They are 4 times as effective
I’ve had one treatment in the spa and half the hair has already fallen out. but my hair is dark black and thick and my skin is ghost white
Which is the most effective colors to treat
Someone with tan skin and brown hair may not have ANY results
That’s why I couldn’t get my arms done

The at home lasers aren’t really strong enough to give you smooth skin
And if you read the fine print it says "hair reduction" not removal

I sold my tria and went to a medspa in houston tx
I paid $4,000 for my legs, underarms, and bikini area
And that’s permanent smoothness after 6 treatments over the course of a year…
I definitely think it’s worth it =)

Good luck with whatever you choose
