Hi, I was just wondering what your personal experiences on sugaring with vinegar was? I don’t have any lemon juice, but I do have orange juice…it’s the kind in the carton. Would that work? Or should I just use vinegar?

Hello there AshleyChakawri, thanks for getting in touch with me…I think you may have cooked the sugar a bit longer…but, great news…if it’s super hard as a rock, you may be able to soften a bit of it and remove it from the container and add a bit of water to possibly soften it (not easy)…or, you could try the “ball method” if the sugar is soften a bit and if you remove it from the jar, try rolling it into a ball.If that doesn’t work, let’s try to make a new batch. :0) let me know :0)

Hello nekotali, thanks for watching my video! You may want to heat water on the stove in a sauce pan and once water is heated well, remove and place the container in a bowl and pour the hot water around the sides…allow to sit for 15 minutes…then, that should soften the waxd up. Hello LoveSong87, thanks for watching my video. You can use either fresh or bottled. I’ve used both…just grab 3 medium lemons to be on the safe side…most times, one or two fresh lemons work fine… 1/4 cup…also, try poking a couple of holes in the lemon and microwave them for several seconds and that will release juices faster…oh, and be sure to place lemon in a bowl so it will collect any juice that runs…after the microwave, just slice lemon in half and squeeze. :0) take care :0) Nina

no problem…I’ve been away from home a lot lately, sorry it took me so long to reply.
:0)
try adding less water and dust with a little more powder and that should work…please don’t give up; it’s going to be just fine once we work out the disaster. :0) When you cook the sugar, make sure you allow the bubbles to turn a rich dark brown. Cool overnight just to be sure it’s “set”…I don’t always do that, but, it’s okay to do. pls don’t give up!! it’s going to be fine! :0)
