Does anyone have any info on tatoo removal that may be useful?

I have been researching tatoo removal for several years, I have not seen good results. There seems to be a lot of scarring and in some cases the tatoo is never completely removed after many sessions. I am familiar with laser are there andy other methods out there?

Are there any new methods out there that have proved to be better than others?

How should I go about finding a reputable doctor?
I sefinately do not want to tatoo over it. I hate tatoos for me and this was something I did 12years ago and regret.
Also has anyone seen the results of the wreckeningbalm product?
I appreciate the answers but again I do not want coverups done. The pain and the cost are worth it to me to have this done if I can find a good way to do it. Thanks again.
Also the tattoo I have is very large and is one my arm, I have actually seem a few very good artist to see what might be done and they have all said it would need to be twice as large, that is why I don’t want coverups.

i think that because the skin has been damaged, a scar will be there.. get it removed and use one of those scarring creams..

i personally wouldnt go for removal.

Have you considered getting a cover up? (another tattoo on the one you want removed so it will no longer be visible)
Its a good option if you dont mind having another tattoo over it.

The best thing to do on your case is probably to go to a dermatologist and find out what procedures could be done specifically for your skin and the location you have the tattoo.

I can tell you that the process (no matter what option you choose) is long (usually multiple sessions) and sometimes painful. It cost lots of money and as you already have found out is not always 100% successful.

I understand you don’t want to do a cover-up tattoo, but I personally suggest you think about it very well. I do not like to have tattoos all over my body, but I do have one in my leg and I am planning to have one more on my back.

I don’t know what kind of tattoo you have, but a good tattoo artist can always after taking a look suggest of a good cover up. Price would be a 10th of the removal (usually that is the average) and could turn to be something nice in your body.

Just to give you an example, both my wife and I have tattoos but they are not just a painting, they have a meaning. We both have our names in Chinese (she is American/Chinese descendant) on our legs to symbolize our walking path together in life. She also has a Dragon and a Phoenix on her lower back with the Double Happiness symbol in between (it symbolizes the matrimony). I am planning to have a Dragon done on my back and I am going to have also the names of my children next to it as a symbol of my protection (I would give my life for my family).

Maybe you can find a good tattoo that has a real meaning for you and your life and could be a perfect cover up or maybe an add-on to it. You could be surprised of how good it could look after a good artist draws it.

    Good luck.
