does the tatoo removal cream "fadeplex" really work?

November 24th, 2011

I want to remove my tatoo but I’m super freaked out about laser removal so, I wanted to try a removal cream first. I’m not sure which one to use. I looked at some tatoo removal association website and it said fadeplex and tatmed were the best. Any ideas? Have you or do you know anyone that has used either before and had good results?

If laser takes several treatments to fade tattoos, how can CREAM do that?

Sorry, it’s another money making business to me.

The FDA have banned whitening products.
The reason cited for the proposed ban is that studies in rodents show "some evidence" that hydroquinone may act as a carcinogen or cancer-causing chemical, although its cancer-causing properties have yet to be proved in humans. Hydroquinone also has been linked with the medical condition known as ochronosis in which the skin becomes dark and thick. Dome-shaped yellowish spots and grayish-brown spots also are observed in ochronosis among black women and men in South Africa, Britain, and the U.S. Ochronosis has been observed in conjunction with hydroquinone use even in persons who have used hydroquinone-containing cosmetics for a short time. Some studies also report abnormal function of the adrenal glands and high levels of mercury in people who have used hydroquinone-containing cosmetics. For these reasons, hydroquinone has already been banned in Japan, the European Union, and Australia.

Any skin-lightening products containing hydroquinone would be considered new drugs, according to the proposed FDA regulations. The products would require FDA approval before being sold to the public and would only be available with a doctor’s prescription.

What is the most intensely pigmented yellow tattoo ink?

November 15th, 2011

Im new to the tattoo world and Im having problems finding a high quality yellow ink. At the moment I have Blisterine from Bloodline and its not showing up well at all. Ive been working on myself when it comes to practice (not a fan of the tatt skin) and my own skin tone is a light medium. Any suggestions?

Most yellow pigments have a very thin consistency and are very difficult to apply. To make it show up even more, make sure to use a complementary color next to it…that way it pops. I use both starbrite and eternal yellows….i think its canary yellow and bright yellow. Just take your time putting them in the skin. Work a small area, then go to another area…that way you can wait for the first are to settle and go back for a second passing.

Does anyone know where can I get a course for tatto removal ?

November 9th, 2011

Just I need to get experience on it and I live in new York city can anyone tell me where can I find them?

In California you need to be a licensed medical health care provider–MD, RN, DO, PA, or NP. Contact your state medical board to see who is qualified in New York. Most providers have a background in Dermatology, Plastic surgery, & or lasers to start with. It is not meant for lay people to operate a prescriptive device, and considered illegal here.

My ex, bf threats to kill me because I broke up with him?

November 6th, 2011

He tattoed my name and the date we got together, and now i feel like my feelings towards him are dead-
Now he wants ME to pay for removal off the tatto, which would be very expencive.
And im only 19, i dont have a job or anything.
I cant be with him any longer..
Please help?
what should i do?
He told me that he would pay someone to rape and kill me:S im so scared

Be strong and don’t allow yourself to be frightened by his threats and commands. He wants to punish you because you broke up with him.

Every person is responsibile for their own actions. HE was responsible for the tattoo being put on him – it is not your responsibility to pay to remove it. Every intelligent person knows when they tattoo a name on themselves that the relationship could break up, and its a risk they take. A good tattooist could alter the name into a design of some sort – it is a common enough problem brought to tattooists, but in any event that is not your problem., its his. He’s just got to be adult enough to sort out the problem that he himself created by his action.

Secondly, the threat to rape and kill – well its highly likely that these are just angry words thrown around to frighten you. You could file a report to the police, and tell him you have done so, but then put it out of your mind. He probalby had no intention at all of doing any such thing, and is even less likely when the police have him as a number one suspect to any future attack.

Tell him you have advised the police, then sever all lines of communication. He can’t frighten you if he can’t get hold of you to do so. You did the right thing to break off with him – don’t allow his fear tactics to prevent you from moving fully on.

How to I talk to my mum about hair removal?

September 21st, 2011

I really am desperate to remove the hair on my legs, but I don’t know how to approach my mum about it. I have researched different hair removal methods, and for me, the Veet hair removal cream looks the best. However, how do I ask my mum about doing this? There always seems to be someone around and when I am just alone with my mum, I get to nervous to ask! Also, do all hair removal creams smell? Are there any that don’t? Thanks :) xxx.

Ok, so I would consider your age before taking up this convo with your mother.
Like say, if you’re 9 or 10 or something shaving isn’t really for your age. It’s just not that important :)
But if you’re upwards of 13, give it a go.

-approach her at a time when she is in a good mood.
-start off gently, like "Mum, can I ask you something?"
-don’t get mad if she doesn’t respond positively.
-talk to her about how you feel about removing hair from your legs (e.g. it would make you feel better about yourself)
-tell her you would really like to start because you think you are responsible and old enough.
-if she starts to see reason, discuss what method is best. (e.g. razor, wax, cream etc)

Just be mature and repsonsible. If all else fails, try again another day. Ask her why she has said ‘no’ and work towards achieving that. If your friends shave/wax/use creams, try it out at their house one night to see if hair removal is for you. It isn’t an important thing for some women.

Good luck :)

How much will it cost 2 remove all my body hair by laser hair removal?

September 13th, 2011

I am currently a fifteen year old gay boy thinking ahead for the future. I have heard that you must be 18 to get laser hair removal is this true? Secondly I am planning sometime in my life to have all my body hair removed by laser hair removal (I fully realize it takes 6-8 sessions). My question is how much will it cost, overall (the whole body & all the sessions) to completely remove ALL of my body hair except facial hair?

your 15 you its great you have embraced yourself in the fact that you are gay but you got plenty of time..but you can always use a hair growth inhibitor to get you started so you just dont grown as much as you age. Remsprings hair-nix is a good product i suggest you use that one.

is it a common thing for people to get laser tattoo removal?

September 11th, 2011

I feel so out of place like i’m the only one who’s doing it.. i don’t know why its not like i’m getting a boob job or plastic surgery, but still /: i’m scared my skin on my upper arm (where my tattoo is) will never look normal again, even after laser tattoo removal.

It’s normal for people to get a tattoo removed since other people do it, not sure how common it is because some people wouldn’t dream of getting their tattoos removed because they love their tattoos. Like the process of getting a tattoo you should make sure that the laser clinic is a good one. If you want a tattoo removed then have a few consultations with some clinics in your area. If they are good at what they do, if they are certified and licensed, then you shouldn’t have too much damage to your skin.

Home salabrasion on india ink tatto?

September 8th, 2011

I tatted my friend on his left thumb, three dots. He has had them for 2 days and regrets it because they are too visible. The tat did not get infected. I used a sterile sewing needle wrapped in string with india ink. Cleaned the area very well with alcohol and then applied aquaphor. The tattoo looks fine, it still hurts a little if he presses on it but he researched and learned about the Salabrasion tattoo removal method and how easy it is to do at home. But could it be harmful to try the salabrasion on a fresh 3 day tattoo? or would that even make the results better?

thanks
Just to let you know this is actually working kind of. Its not getting rid of it completely but its fading pretty good. It could be because im doing it my own way. Just wetting my hand pouring salt on it and rubbing it into the tat roughly with my fingers then soaking for 30 minutes in really hot water then after drying applying vaseline. It may not get rid of it but if you got an india ink tattoo not too long ago that your regret you should try this. Faded it pretty good, thats all i needed. For it to fade not to erase completely.

I’ve never heard of this, so I looked it up. Basically salabrasion is a variation of dermabrasion. Though usually people use something harder like a wire brush or pumice stone. As the ink in your friend’s tattoo hasn’t fully settled yet, this might actually work better than waiting until it’s fully healed. As the first couple of sites I read stated, scarring and infection are the two biggest risks from this procedure. I would rate the infection risk a little higher than a home-made tattoo. Since he’s already done that…. If he decides to do it, I’d love to hear the results here on Y! Answers.
